Cinderella Ice Show in St. Petersburg
Every year, Elena Berezhnaya's Ice Theatre produces a show for the holiday season in St. Petersburg. The city government makes it possible that 255,000 children get the chance to attend the show for free. This year, it was "Cinderella" that was shown in the St. Petersburg Ice Palace December 23 to 27 with five shows a day. Among the cast were 2002 Olympic Champion Elena Berezhnaya (as the good fairy), 2015 World Champion Lisa Tuktamysheva (as the evil step mother), St. Petersburg ice dancers Ekaterina Mironova Evgeni Ustenko as Cinderella and the prince as well as Nikolai Ugozhaev as the dance teacher. Not only figure skaters performed, there were also dancers and acrobats on and off and even above the ice. We visited the show and put together some photos.
